Everywhere Was Far (Shadowmark Poetry Series , Vol 4)
Published in Paperback by Blue Begonia Press (October, 1998)
Authors: Kevin Miller and Brady Miller
Average review score:

This Book Changed My Life
I didn't think Miller could get any better than "Light That Whispers Morning"--but he has. I'm taking this book one night at a time, three poems a night, reading each at least twice. They are simply incredible poems, from "Anna Says" to the final piece, "Far." They are stories of places and people and travel and, as fellow poet Barry Grimes writes, "They are close enough to remember, far enough to keep running up there, past here, to somewhere else. All along the way, steady." I couldn't have said it better myself.

Kevin's an inspiration, a hero, a friend of mine. He's my Short Fiction & Poetry teacher, and reading this book--as well as its predecessor--push me to be a better writer. I'm being taught by the guy who wrote "The Heart of Displace" and "In My Most Recent Prayer." I'm being taught by Kevin Miller.

Buy this book.

The Evil Eye (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons: Ravenloft)
Published in Paperback by Wizards of the Coast (September, 1995)
Authors: Steve Kurtz, Steve Miller, and TSR Inc
Average review score:

The Progeny
The character Malocchio Aderre was intrigueing, I found, being a son of two beings of magic. His ability to infinately use a number of spells gives him powers any DM would enjoy to play, because it can give the players a tough time, which is where plot design comes into play. Malocchio cannot be defeated easily in combat, but the adventurers should still be able to accomplish their task and drive him off. The scene with the lycanthrope fighting pit was, I found, quite difficult to pull off, and the virtual reality Vistani boothe was stupid (I went around it).

Average review score:

As interesting as it seems
This book is ideal for anyone who uses color in the design of publications, as well as for teachers and students of design and the graphic arts. "Eyes on the News" introduces the Color Theory for newspapers and magazines of the third millennium, all based on research conducted with the use of Gallup's EyeTrac equipment to test reader eye movement. Moreover it's an excellent reading.

Refreshingly Authentic
In this day and age where what seems to make it in this worldis that and those people who conform to the do's and don'ts ofcorporate America, or perhaps I ought say america with a small"a", FM is a most refreshing change that renews my belief that there are still original thinkers out there making personal and important statements that are not only artistic, but personal, cultural, politically relevant, psychologically astute and desperately needed. It is hard to hold onto the hope that individuals can grow up in this world, develop and hold onto and feel good about an authentic sense of self - so kudo's to Lisa Adams for creating this book, and for those whos work appears. I am always impressed by the work of Lauren Hartman who seems to really have found a path to her authentic self - may she never lose that, and may this book inspire others to find theirs.

Wonderful
This is a beautifully done book. The information is depicted carefully and correctly. I used it with both my children when they were young. As adults they still refer to it as very helpful.
